ACAD 1023D - Academic Literacy IIUG Credit Hours: 3
Academic Literacy II is designed to prepare students to read college texts. Emphasis is placed on learning and applying study-reading strategies essential to success in academic courses. This course will include written and oral responses to reading materials in both individual, small group, and whole group environments. Required for students whose standardized English Language test score results indicate a need for additional skill development. The semester credit for this course does not apply to credit hours required for graduation.
Prerequisites: Appropriate score on reading placement test, or completion of ACAD 1013D with a grade of “C-” or better. Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0
When Offered: As needed Note: This is a Developmental Education course; credit hours not used to meet a graduation requirement.
