Introduction to statistics and probability theory, sampling techniques, classification of data, descriptive statistics, exploratory data analysis, probability, random variables, probability distributions, sampling distributions, confidence intervals, tests of hypothesis, correlation, linear regression, chi-square tests, and introduction to analysis of variance. Required for the computer science major, nursing major, and physics major. Optional for the mathematics major.
