MUTH 1140 - Aural Skills IIUG Credit Hours: 1
A continued study of the fundamental elements of music theory as they apply to music reading and music notation. This class will focus primarily on the acquisition of aural recognition skills and music reading skills. Students will learn to write music as it is being played, and be able to perform music using solfege, rhythmic counting and rudimentary conducting skills.
Prerequisites: MUTH 1130 and class piano/completed proficiency, admission as music major, or permission of instructor. Lecture Hours: 1 Lab Hours: 0
