The use of clay as a sculptural media not associated with the “vessel” tradition. Contemporary use of clay to include a variety of firing, glazing and alternative finishing techniques. Study of artists related to class studio problems, through slides, lectures, critiques, videos, field trips to museums and galleries.

Prerequisites: ARTS 1313 or permission of instructor.
