ARTS 2315 - Visual Communication in MediaUG Credit Hours: 3
This course is designed to get students to develop a deep understanding of how visuals are used to convey messages and tell stories in various media forms. By exploring the principles of design and visual communication, students will learn to effectively use color, composition, typography, and imagery to create visually compelling and impactful designs. The course will cover a wide range of media, including print, digital platforms, motion graphics, and interactive media, providing students with a versatile skill set to excel in today’s multimedia landscape. This course encourages students to explore the boundaries of graphic design by incorporating elements of traditional art and 2D design into Adobe software and computer applications. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with different artistic techniques, such as drawing, painting, and collage, and apply these skills to their visual communication projects. By embracing both the traditional and the contemporary, students will develop a unique artistic voice and be well-prepared to meet the demands of the ever-evolving field of graphic design.
