BA Degree
BA candidates must take at least 1 year of a single foreign language at the college level or show proficiency by taking an elementary foreign language proficiency exam or CLEP. Two BA majors require 2 years (or sophomore proficiency) of a foreign language or proficiency by exam: Religion, and Christian Ministry.
BFA Degree
BFA candidates must take at least 1 year of a single foreign language at the college level or show proficiency by taking an elementary foreign language proficiency exam or CLEP.
BIS Degree
BIS candidates must take one semester of a single foreign language at the college level or show proficiency by taking an elementary foreign language proficiency exam or CLEP.
BS Degree
Two years high school credit in a single foreign language satisfies the BS language requirement. Students who do not have this high school credit will be required to take 8 hours of a single foreign language at McMurry. Students who graduated from high school prior to 2019 do not have a foreign language requirement for the BS degree.
BME Degree
Two years high school credit in a single foreign language satisfies the BME language requirement. Students who do not have this high school credit will be required to take 8 hours of a single foreign language at McMurry. Students who graduated from high school prior to 2019 do not have a foreign language requirement for the BME degree.
BBA Degree
Two years high school credit in a single foreign language satisfies the BBA language requirement. Students who do not have this high school credit will be required to take 8 hours of a single foreign language at McMurry. Students who graduated from high school prior to 2019 do not have a foreign language requirement for the BBA degree.
BSN Degree
Two years high school credit in a single foreign language satisfies the BSN language requirement. Students who do not have this high school credit will be required to take 8 hours of a single foreign language at McMurry. Students who graduated from high school prior to 2019 do not have a foreign language requirement for the BSN degree.
