MATH 3331 - Teaching Elementary Math II EC-6UG Credit Hours: 3
This course will introduce the prospective teacher to concepts and developmentally appropriate instructional strategies for math taught at the EC through Grade 6 levels. Students will develop understanding of fundamental elementary math concepts such as geometry and measurement, algebraic thinking, statistics and probability through active and investigative projects and activities. During long semesters students will tutor 5th grade students in math. (Required for EC-6 certification)
Prerequisites: Grade of “C” or better in MATH 1311 or higher, and MATH 3330 . Cross-Listed: Crosslisted as ECED 3331 . Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0
