This course provides a calculus-based introduction to probability and statistics from a scientific/engineering perspective at the upper-undergraduate level. Topics include: Counting, Probability, Discrete Distributions, Continuous Distributions, Joint and Marginal Distributions, Expectation, Variance, Covariance, Correlation, Moment Generating Functions, Functions of Random Variables, Applications of Probability, Sampling Distributions, Confidence Intervals, Hypothesis Testing, and Linear Regression.
Prerequisites: MATH 2421 and MATH 2322 Corequisites: MATH 3301 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0
